Spark Video part II

Yes, yes, yes - we posted a version of this video before, and promptly took it down a week later. Some wondered to themselves 'why'? I'll tell you - its because we forgot to add the key ingredient - a kitten named Skooter. And more ducks. And a dog named Sophie. And other things.

So - we are pleased to present the NEW video for 'Spark' - from our album Blood Sea Dream (out now on Hippies Are Dead).

The SF Weekly posted the mp3 of Spark for FREE download, with a tidy track review here. Get it while its hot.

Hope to see you at the show on Friday - if you need more convincing to get out and go, check out this band The Lambs - they are also playing, and I really think they're quite good. They have free songs to download here.

Mission Creek - This one time at bandcamp...

We've got two shows coming up in the Bay Area this month, both part of the Mission Creek Music Festival.

Sunday, July 11 finds us at Oasis in Oakland with like, a BILLION bands from Oakland including former Grand Lake drummer Ryan Parks (as B. Hamilton). The marathon show starts at high noon, but expect Grand Lake to play around 10pm.

Friday, July 16 we'll be playing the gayest show ever (don't freak out, we mean that in a good way, as half our band is gay) at the Eagle Tavern with the Lambs and Parenthetical Girls. All the info is at MCMFs site.

We've updated grandlaketheband.com with a new essay on 'Blood Sea Dream' by former KCPR music director Graham Culbertson, as well as a list of record shops that carry the album (this is being updated all the time). You'll also find links to buy the digital version (if you haven't already, please pick it up!) and a link to our completely updated bandcamp site - which now reflects our ENTIRE discography, some of which is FREE.
