Blood Sea Dream

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls ~

Grand Lake is more than pleased to announce the pending birth of our first full length record, BLOOD SEA DREAM.

The record, which we've been working on since summer 2009, is being released on CD, LP, and MP3 by the kindly and good folks at Hippies Are Dead. You may be acquainted with HAD already as a fine music blog, which is great, but now, you should know, they have become a music blog AND a record label. This is awesome because

a: they are very nice
b: they are putting out our record.

So - here are things you should know:

1. Blood Sea Dream is streaming in its entirety at our new site which is located at

grandlaketheband.com

To stream the album, click 'Play' on the top of the page.

2. Hippies Are Dead Records are giving away a FREE download of 'Louise (I Live In A Fantasy) via their site. Click here for that.

3. We have been hard at work for the last little while making videos and such. Below is our newest video, for the above mentioned track. Watch it! For more, visit our BRAND NEW YouTube channel.

4. You might also consider watching this video, where in which Caleb interviews Caleb about the new record:

5. Our MySpace page has also gotten a bit of a makeover. You should scope it, because it looks pretty.

Ok - that seems like enough, right? Blood Sea Dream is due out at the end of May - we'll of course post an update as soon as we have more details. Until then, we hope you'll catch our next set, which is at the RICKSHAW STOP in SAN FRANCISCO on APRIL 29. We'll be opening the show - so don't be late - supporting two very awesome bands - Casper & The Cookies (members of OF MONTREAL, we hear) and Aquaserge (members of STEREOLAB, we are told). Tickets are available here.

We love you, and thank you for continuing to support Grand Lake -
kissies!
