Where have you been, my blue eyed son?

HELLO from sunny Cayucos, CA.

You may of heard, but now hear it officially, Grand Lake had to cancel some tour dates. While this was sad, it was quite necessary - to be quite honest, we had some stuff fall through, and we had some money troubles. Happens to the best of us - does it happen to the worst of us?

Anyway -
We are taking a bit of a break, but we have some VERY EXCITING dates to announce!

on November 4 we'll be opening up for the estimable ROGUE WAVE at the completely beautiful GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC HALL in the always enchanting city of SAN FRANCISCO. This is brought to you by the intriguingly corporate fellows at VERIZON WIRELESS who have magically made this show FREE. all you have to do is follow this link - and they'll explain the rest. It should be noted that the sumptuous SEA OF BEES will also be performing - amazing!SEE YOU THERE! GO GIANTS!

here are the rest of our dates for November:
11/11 - Steyberg Gallery, San Luis Obispo, CA
11/12 - Luigi's Fungarden (spelling?), Sacramento, CA w/ SEA OF BEES

11/17 - Cafe Van Kleef, Oakland, CA w/ RACHEL FANNING (formerly of SLEEPY SUN)
11/19 - The Crepe Place, Santa Cruz, CA w/ BIRDHOUSE and MATADOR (CYH Presents)
11/22 - Silverlake Lounge, Los Angeles, CA w/ CHASING KINGS

It should here be noted that these shows will all be kind of stripped-down and acoustic-ish - emphasis on 'ish'.
It should also be noted the 11/22 is Caleb's birthday - so you should go to that show and buy him a drinky drink.

In other news: our record 'Blood Sea Dream' is now available EVERYWHERE records are sold. If you haven't picked it up, you can now order the CD or Vinyl version at your favorite (preferably independent) record shop. PLEASE DO!

Now, here are a few photos from this crazy thing that happened last week in San Luis Obispo. It wasn't quite a Port O'Brien reunion (there was no Cambria, which was sad) but it was almost that, and certainly fun.
